Damage Policy

At RNR Travel Ltd, we aim to provide well-maintained, safe, and reliable vehicles for every customer. This Damage Policy explains your responsibilities regarding vehicle condition, inspections, reporting procedures, and potential charges for damages occurring during the rental period. By confirming a reservation, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below.

1. Customer Responsibility

The renter is responsible for the vehicle from the moment it is picked up until it is returned to the rental provider. Any damage, loss, or mechanical issue caused by misuse, negligence, or unauthorized use may result in financial liability unless covered by an approved protection plan.

2. Pre-Rental Vehicle Inspection

Customers must inspect the vehicle thoroughly at pickup. Any existing damage such as dents, scratches, windshield chips, tire wear, or interior defects must be reported immediately to the rental provider and documented on the rental agreement before leaving the location.

3. Post-Rental Inspection

Upon return, the rental provider will inspect the vehicle. If new damage is identified, the customer may be charged for repair costs, replacement of damaged parts, labor charges, administrative fees, and loss-of-use charges for vehicle downtime.

4. Normal Wear and Tear

Normal wear and tear includes minor surface scratches or light interior use consistent with standard driving. Damage such as deep scratches, dents, broken parts, torn upholstery, stains, burns, or cracked glass is not considered normal wear and will be billed accordingly.

5. Reporting Accidents or Damage

Any accident, collision, vandalism, theft, or damage must be reported immediately to the rental provider and, where required, to local law enforcement. Failure to report incidents promptly may result in denied insurance coverage or increased liability.

6. Insurance & Protection Plans

Rental suppliers may offer optional protection plans such as Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Loss Damage Waiver (LDW), Theft Protection, and Tire & Glass Coverage. These plans may reduce or eliminate liability depending on the terms. Customers are encouraged to review coverage details carefully before declining protection.

7. Excluded Damage

Insurance or waiver coverage generally does not apply to damage caused by reckless driving, driving under the influence, off-road use, unauthorized drivers, misfueling, racing, or violation of traffic laws. Such damage will be fully chargeable to the customer.

8. Tire, Glass & Interior Damage

Customers may be charged for flat or damaged tires, cracked windshields, broken mirrors, interior stains, pet damage, smoke odors, or excessive dirt. These costs apply unless specific coverage was purchased at the time of rental.

9. Theft or Total Loss

In the event of theft or total loss of the vehicle, the customer may be responsible for the full vehicle value unless theft protection coverage was purchased. A police report must be filed immediately for any theft-related claims.

10. Unauthorized Repairs

Customers are not permitted to authorize repairs or replacements without written approval from the rental provider. Unauthorized repairs may not be reimbursed and may void insurance coverage.

11. Loss of Use Charges

If the vehicle is unavailable for rental due to damage caused during the rental period, the supplier may charge a daily loss-of-use fee for the time the vehicle is under repair, in addition to repair costs.

12. Documentation & Evidence

Rental providers may supply documentation such as inspection reports, photographs, repair estimates, invoices, or police reports to support damage charges. Customers may request copies of such documentation where permitted.

13. Administrative Fees

Administrative or processing fees may apply to cover damage assessment, insurance handling, claim processing, and coordination with repair facilities.

14. Acceptance of Damage Policy

By renting a vehicle through RNR Travel Ltd, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this Damage Policy. We reserve the right to update or revise this policy at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
